Our trainers are passionate about making riding fun & safe while working on any goals you desire to achieve.
Alex McKay is the owner and head trainer at Harvest Hill Farm. Alex has ridden her entire life and been successful riding and training horses to compete in both hunters, jumpers and dressage. With over ten years of teaching experience Alex has brought kids from the lunge line to Pony Finals.
Before opening up her own facility Alex has worked under numerous other professionals both training and showing all over the country. Alex grew up riding and training in Minnesota, but also spent many years running a competition barn in Wellington Florida.
"I’ve been riding with Alex for 10 years now, and she’s helped me grow as a rider and as a person. Lessons are never boring, and when I’m stuck I can count on her to think of a creative way to help me through it! Her training of both horses and riders is nuanced, thoughtful, and effective; Alex teaches for the love of the sport and the animals, and her passion is passed on to every one of her students. I’m lucky to call her my instructor, and I’m so grateful for her support and mentorship!"
